Detailed breakdown of the 89s/11s bug
The Cheerful Carnival event close game/OFFLINE comes with same-team matchmaking. This feature is often unused however as it turns out the update also has an unpatched bug that automatically disbands teams on the 89-second mark, or 11 seconds after the timer has started ticking.
This bug works by disbanding one or more people in a room at random (?), and showing the "Room disbanded" pop-up for the affected players. When these players attempt to rejoin the room, they will occasionally get a "Matchmaking failed" error as well, however the room itself may be unaffe2023-08-01 #02c
